The crowds were cheering as Sarah Palin arrived at a rally in Waukesha, Wisconsin. It was September. Senator McCain was there, too. The crowd was almost too large (like the lines leading to the metal detectors).
You didn't see on Television quite how many McCain/Palin fans were there. But, clearly, the crowd was
thrilled to be there with her.
Today, Palin detractors are unable to grasp how the McCain Campaign came alive following her nomination. They do not perceive how her fans are still her enthusiastic fans. However, by November 6, campaign insiders leaked accusations --most of which are now rebutted-- about Gov. Palin as campaign members point fingers and duck for cover.
Even CNN's Campbell Brown asks: like her or not, you have to be baffled at how those same McCain staffers who introdced Gov. Palin were so eager to throw rocks at her only weeks later : See the video at

Campbell Brown's remarkable video report points out, bravely, how Palin has been wronged, and how she was accused of misdeeds that CNN found to be flatly false, and how she is getting a raw deal.
